Generative Collages by Adam Stepinski

The images are generated from a group of photographs redrawn by a set of particles. Each photograph defines a vector field for the particles: the color of the pixels map to a direction and magnitude. A particle at a given coordinate moves to a new coordinate as dictated by the vector field, drawing a line segment from the old position to the new position. The process repeats over a series of discrete time steps. The algorithms randomly select vector field functions and photographs from a pre-defined set.
